Fred Farkouh, J.D., CPA

As a founding partner of Farkouh, Furman & Faccio, Fred has over 40 years of experience representing large corporations and mid-market entities in tax planning and compliance, including both domestic and international tax issues. His expertise is further enhanced by a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, business planning, and all aspects of real estate transactions.

Another facet of Fred’s extensive expertise includes strategic advisement for high net worth individuals and families on matters such as income and transfer tax planning, wealth accumulation and preservation strategies, intergenerational transfers, and gift and estate tax planning. His deep understanding of legal implications and the ability to provide creative problem solving in many scenarios are additional benefits most appreciated by his clients. From vetting investment opportunities and analyzing complex transactions to structuring, financing and planning for new business start-ups, clients count on Fred to take a proactive approach to tax services.

Fred chose to pursue a career in accounting because he enjoyed the challenges and nuances of taxation. He credits his success in the field to a commitment to client service and honesty, and his personal philosophy when it comes to his work is that clients come first.

Raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Fred now resides in New Jersey with his wife, Martha. In his free time, he most enjoys spending time with his daughter, Alexandra, son, Ray, daughter-in-law, Missy, and his two grandchildren, Charlie and Chloe. Other hobbies of Fred’s include traveling, boating and reading.
